2025 – The Northern Society- 2026

Rebranding & vision

My role encompasses photography, graphic design, website development, and social media. But more than just handling the ‘tech’, I saw an opportunity to shape the visual identity of the society.

I am excited to see

The first step was the redesign of the Northern Society logo. I wanted to create something that celebrated our northern heritage whilst still feeling new and fresh.

The new logo incorporates the county flags of the northern counties. While Northern Soc has typically used red as a primary colour, this has varied. We are now represented by the signature heritage burgundy, representing the red brick buildings of northern towns. Finally, our shield is held up by two English lions, both standing on a northern rolling hillside.

The first step was the redesign of the Northern Society logo. I wanted to create something that celebrated our northern heritage whilst still feeling new and fresh.

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to support our Northern Society president, Elise Ainsworth, on the committee this year. I hope that we can continue to build the community, making connections, celebrating achievements, and building a northern legacy in here Cambridge.
